The individuals I worked with, and met, throughout the SlimeCon journey, are individuals that I will not soon forget, would like to individually recognize, and wish all the best of blessings and good fortune to.
To the rest of the SlimeCon staff:
Byron Smith: Byron! You did it! Your dream that once seemed impossible became a reality and I think that you deserve very special recognition for that. I've enjoyed our friendship over the past few years and especially enjoyed hanging out, and working with you at SlimeCon. Thank you very much for including me as a staff member, and for putting the faith in me to remix the theme song and host the trivia game without question. I hope that I'll have the privilege of working with you again very soon.
Emily Reichbach: It's no secret that SlimeCon could not have been the success it was without you being in the front line with Byron, Emily. It was great to have met you, and worked with you. I won't soon forget not being able to keep a straight face on the last day while you and I were filling water bottles with slime from the steadily oozing plastic. Your kind personality and optimistic attitude made you a pleasure to be around.
Jim Clarke: Without you, there would have been no SlimeCon, and I would have never gotten the chance to meet yourself as well as the other individuals I'm writing about. You were rarely credited with your amazing works in this event, yet that never slowed you down. I enjoyed our audio conversations, and hearing all the great stories you have from over the years. Here's to SlimeCon 2004!
Josh Dunn: My boy...Mr. Agent. It was great to have met you, and your humor kept me laughing from beginning to end. From mock interviews when getting mic checks, to going on a mission to McDonalds while on the worlds most strict time schedule, you were always able to make jokes out of the situation. I still laugh when I think about your duties in taking apart of the mannequins in the Slimesonian. I'll leave it at that. You know what I'm talking about. Good luck with the ladies. Take care.
Troy Turner: My southern brother! I enjoyed hanging out with you from beginning to end, and your kind personality made you a pleasure to be around. Anything you did, you did with a smile. From plotting a way to bring down the dining room table, to our own personal Ottawa tour with Anthony, it was always fun. I wish you all the best of luck in the future, and look forward to working with you again hopefully in 2004!
Raj Burman: By far one of the coolest people I've met. You were a pleasure to be around because of your kind personality and willingness to help anyone who needed it. I certainly hope your slime-stained shoes have found their way to a safe spot and that your good spirits continue into 2004, should there be another. Make sure that you have another pair of shoes ready for more slime!
Traci Grant: You were my own personal bully while in Canada...what more could someone ask for? Aside from that, you're a very down to earth person and I enjoyed our conversations very much. I wish you all the success in the world in your television career and appreciate you not stuffing me into one of the lockers and leaving me there. I'll be working on my come-backs for 2004. Look out.
To the YCDTOTV cast/crew:
Unfortunately, there were so many of you that I met, that I cannot individually thank you but, if I met you, you know this is for you. You all were very kind, in fact, by far the kindest, most warm hearted individuals to be in the same room together. I am honored to have had the privilege to meet you all, and to keep in touch with several of you hereafter. Some of you, I was unable to spend a whole lot of time talking with, very much wish I could have. I wish you all the best of luck and blessings in the future.
And to those who attended who I was unable to meet...I would have
loved to have met all of you, but nevertheless, I still consider it an honor
to have been in the same room with you after admiring your performances for
so many years on the show. I wish you too, all the best of luck and
blessings in the future.
To the attendees:
I was able to have some great conversation with all of you and would not have given up the chance to have hung with you for anything. Many of you I've found great friends in and still keep in touch with. I hope to see you all again very soon. All the best of luck and blessings to you all, as well.
